This high-performance quasi-polyester system is one of a family of polymer systems developed by Northstar Polymers for demanding work environments.  Urethane elastomers molded with this system exhibit high tear strength, high tensile elongation, excellent oil resistance, and outstanding abrasion resistance.  They also meet the requirements of 21 CFR 177.1680, FDA direct dry food contact.  This combination of features makes elastomers molded from MSS-A85BQ perfect for many applications including the handling of wood chips, grain, sand, gravel and other commodities, mining, and many custom applications.  For long-term use in constant aqueous environments, consider a system from our polyether or hybrid product families.

The actual mixing ratio at the operation may need to be adjusted based on the actual stoichiometric ratio calculation.  For machine mixing, calibration of the mixing ratio is recommended before the new batch of raw material is used.
