High Alumina Contained Ceramic Tiles and Ceramic Hex Tiles

Tandem's ceramic tile is made from high-alumina, extremely dense material.  Its high purity alumina crystals are bonded together with a crystalline aluminum silicate that insures the integrity of the ceramic shape after firing.  Harder than tool steel and close to diamonds in hardness, it possesses extraordinary durability, as indicated on the accompanying Moh Scale of Hardness.

Moh Hardness
Diamond 10
Aluminum Oxide 9
Tool Steel 6.5
Silica 6
Glass 5.5
Carbon Steel 5.5
Copper 3

Hex Tile

Hex tile is used for lining both concave and convex curved sections where other types of tile will not readily fit.  This unique, flexible, pre-mad mounted tile permits easy, rapid, low-cost, do-it-yourself surfacing of curved sections.
